Breathing, heart beat, cell metabolism, kidney function, and even thinking and dreaming uses calories. Muscle cells use calories even when at rest. Those 1,000 of not so Easy weight loss calories diets recommended by many a doctor in my former fat days were crawling with nutritional deficiencies and served more to slow down my metabolism than to strengthen it - as well as my body.

Your actual daily calorie consumption depends on several factors like muscle mass (and many other metabolism factors). However the calculator uses most precise formulas and therefore results do not differ too much from your actual energy consumption. For men the basal metabolic rate is determined by taking your weight and multiplying it by 11. Next divide the number by the number of minutes in a day.

Learning and using nutrition is so important that it should
be taught in grammar and high school, but it is not. But, now as an adult you
have the opportunity to correct this big oversight. Proper nutrition is
essential in reducing our risk of disease. But how do we know if we are meeting
our nutrient needs? Nutrition is the number one factor that plays into having
the stomach of your dreams. Now you want to keep everything simple, that's what
I always say.
